  • Abstract
    The paper deals with the calculation of short-time ratings, particularly with respect to those specified in B.S. 587¿1940, Clause 58. Briefly these are: 5 min ¿on¿ in every 15 min, and 2 min ¿on¿ in every 15 min. The method is based on the exact laws of heat radiation and convection, and gives results very closely substantiated by test.
