            Abstract : 
The authors describe the development and testing of a microcomputer-based digital governor for hydrogenerators. The digital governor was shown to approximate the control function of existing analog controllers. This task was performed as a first step to future work intended to utilize the versatility of microcomputers in effecting more sophisticated control algorithms to improve hydrosystem operation
