Abstract :
An integrated bi-directional inverter for switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive is proposed in this paper. An multifunction converter topology is proposed to execute the motor driving, the battery charging and grid-connect inverter. The integrated bi-directional inverter can reduce the volume, the weight, which is easily to carry within EV application. Compared with conventional asymmetric converter, two freewheeling diodes of phase C´s are instead by two power switches to rebuild a bi-directional DC/DC converter, and a relay is inserted between two power switches to separate dc-link and battery voltage. Therefore, this topology can be rebuilt as a bi-directional inverter to satisfy the battery charging and the grid-connect inverter. The operational modes of three functions are introduced in detail. Some simulation results are done to verify the performance of proposed converters.
