Abstract :
This paper focuses on the patterns in a quasi 1-D coplanar dielectric-barrier discharge system. Various characteristics, such as splitting, merging, and broadening of the filaments are observed by changing the applied voltage. The effect of the surface charge is considered important for the formation of the patterns.
