Industrial applications of electronic techniques

The application of electronic techniques to industry is briefly surveyed, with the primary object of stimulating interest in the use of such techniques as an aid to industrial efficiency. Existing and possible applications are sectionalized as follows: Measurement. Industrial instrumentation and control. Production aids. Inspection. Protection. In each Section a general discussion is given of the basic applications of those electronic devices most likely to be of value, a brief description being given and reference made to selected existing examples by way of illustration.
