Abstract :
Fibre transmission of a modulated 40 GHz millimetre-wave signal, optically generated from an injection-locked two-section self-pulsating gain-coupled DFB laser, is demonstrated for the first time. 155 Mbit/s phase modulated data is transmitted over 6 km of fibre with a bit error ratio of <10-10
