About the authors

David A. Aaker received the B.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University, Stanford, CA. M. K. Badawy received the Ph.D. degree in business administration from New York University, New York. Robert A. Brown (S´58-M´59) was born in Columbus, OH, in 1927. He received the Bachelor´s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, in 1949, followed by five years of commissioned service in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. Returning to complete his education at Ohio State University, Columbus, he received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering, in 1956 and 1962, respectively. Tyzoon T. Tyebjee was born in Bombay, India. He received the Master´s degree in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and the M.B.A. and Ph.D. degrees in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
