An Introduction to the HF Through THz Issue [From the Guest Editor´s Desk]

Over the past century, the frequency range embraced by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) has grown from the relatively narrow range where klystrons and waveguides ruled the waves. A natural tendency for scientists and engineers is to constantly push frontiers, so it is no surprise that techniques formerly used at 6 GHz are now common at 60 GHz.
