  • Abstract
    Greensboro is a mid-sized city with a population of just over 250,000 inhabitants, located near the center of the state of North Carolina, in the southeast corner of the United States (Figure 1). Greensboro is part of the Piedmont Triad, an urban area that also comprises the cities of High Point and Winston Salem.
