Abstract :
Surface integral equations whose unknowns are loop electric and surface magnetic currents can be effectively used in eddy current analysis. However, it is difficult to analyze eddy currents near the edge because the eddy currents cannot be formulated at the edge. In order to obtain the magnetic field near the edge accurately, an eddy current analysis method is proposed. With the help of an edge boundary condition, eddy currents can be formulated by surface integral equations even at the edge. The author discusses how to utilize the edge boundary condition in eddy current analysis by BEM
