Abstract
Two methods of mode pushing are compared. The newer method, automatic pushing, uses energy minimization to relocate a wall, as one entity. The older method, adaptive mode pushing, uses the reversal of the direction of motion of the wall to determine when to end the mode pushing. It is seen that automatic pushing is comparable and often speeds up the calculation significantly more than adaptive mode pushing
