Abstract :
Sometimes the best way to learn more about a subject is to poke fun at it. The English language is no exception, and this article parodies the way in which antonyms are created. Antonyms are often formed by attaching a negative prefix (un, dis, de, in) to a word-root. Yet some original word-roots have been lost, resulting in an antonym for which no word-root exists.
