Abstract :
On November 20, 2010, Kishan Baheti competed in the JFK 50-Mile Ultramarathon. This endurance event takes the participants from Boonsboro to Williamsport, Maryland, along paved roads, through mountains on the Appalachian Trail, and along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal towpath. About 1200 people participated in the race with 1000 finishers. In 1963, the initial inspiration behind the event came from then President John F. Kennedy challenging his military officers to meet physical fitness requirements. Kishan completed the event in 11 hours and 11 minutes, placing him among the top 30% of finishers in his age group.
