Abstract :
Though digital computers have been increasingly dominant throughout the past 30 years, it has seemed there would always be a place for analog computers. Their real-time processing capability was indispensable 20 years ago for the simulation of various systems, particularly in the military and aerospace fields. It seemed inconceivable that the analog computer´s skills could ever be approached, let alone surpassed, by the digital kind.
