This June IBM celebrates the 100th anniversary of its incorporation. It was founded in 1911 as the Computing Tabulating Recording Corporation ?? following a merger of the Computer Scale Company of America and the International Time Recording Company with the Tabulating Machine Company ?? and renamed as International Business Machines 23 years later
