Abstract :
A subminiaturized LD transmitter module experiment prototype is fabricated for 2.4-Gb/s optical interconnect and subscriber loop applications. It uses common microwave device packages and has a size of 16*16 mm, with a 3 mm height. Pulse modulation up to 2.4 Gb/s is achieved successfully.<>
