Abstract
Blue luminescence has been observed for a highly purified ZnSe single crystal at room temperature excited by a modelocked Ti:Al2 O3 laser beam at a wavelength of 780 nm. The slope of the luminescence intensity as a function of laser power was between 3 and 4, indicating that this is induced by a multiphoton process
