Abstract
Modern satellite communication on small platforms requires real-time beam steerable antennas with a compact, power efficient design. Conventional satellite based antennas based on reflection discs or phase-shifting arrays are either cumbersome or power hungry. Therefore, compact structures enabling beam steering within a large range of angle, while eliminating the existence of phase shifters are favorable in these problems.
