Abstract :
Summery form only given: In this paper we show experimental results depicting the impact of the channel noise on the formation and propagation of the fields namely Brillouin precursors. These precursors, depending upon the input waveform, arise due a band-limited ultrawideband signal propagating through a frequency dispersive medium. The precursor field is distinguished by an algebraically peak-level decay property that can be utilized for a longer propagation distance within the considered medium (A. V. Alejos, IEEE Geosci. Rem. Sens. Letters, 8, 59-63, 2011).
