Abstract
An interferometric frequency measurement of an iodine stabilized Nd:YAG laser is reported. The frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser could be stabilized to hyperfine components in either the P(54)32-0 or R(57)32-0 fine structure transitions of 127I2. Two independent systems were developed using commercially available doubled YAG devices, and frequency stabilities of less than 1.5×10-12 were achieved, for 1 to 100 s averaging time. The hyperfine separations were measured for the two transitions. A pressure shift of -10 kHz/Pa was also measured
