  • Abstract
On hard disk surfaces, the lubricant layer not only contributes to reducing friction and wear but also inhibits corrosion. Corrosion resistance is an important factor in the novel lubricant development. This paper studies the chemical reaction between the corrosion products and different lubricant on the disk surface. Through the study of the relationship between the lubricant molecular structure/property and the corrosion product composition/distribution on hard disk surfaces, guidance for new lubricant design and development is suggested.
