It´s not enough to know which organizational and behavioral factors are important predictors of project success — managers must be able to relate those factors to the particular stages of their projects. That´s the conclusion Jeffrey K. Pinto and Dennis P. Slevin draw from their study of some 425 engineering, research and development, and construction projects of all sizes across the United States.
