Abstract
Dual loop self-injection locking has been proposed for phase noise reduction and side-mode suppression in microwave oscillators. Experiments for both electrical and opto-electronic oscillator at 10 GHz that incorporate dual loop self-injection locking are performed to demonstrate the concept of self-injection locking (SIL) and provide insights into the behavior of microwave oscillators employing such techniques.
