  • Abstract
    Cloud detection is an important subject for both present observatories and observatory site selection. Nowadays cloud detection using all sky cameras is the most promising method by the help of sophisticated cameras. In this work we propose a cloudiness analysis methods which uses all sky camera images. Daytime and night time images were classified according to their present time duration, and different approaches have been applied to analyze them. It has been observed that this classification increases cloud detection performances.
