  • Abstract
    In 1973 he set a world record for time in space: 60 days orbiting the earth during the second Skylab mission. He has roared into space aboard the shuttle Columbia. He has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University in California, and today he is a vice president of Teledyne Brown Engineering, where he directs a staff of more than 600 in the company´s Space Programs Division in Huntsville, Ala.
