  • Abstract
The studies intended to obtain azimuth angle of any kind of electromagnetic wave, using a specific passive antenna group, has been maintained for long years [1]. In this work, towards to the solution of this problem, determination of the location of transmitters especially broadcasting in HF band has been aimed and the transmitters´ azimuth angles have been figured out using MUSIC (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) algorithm with a sample application. Original MUSIC algorithm is not compatible with coherent or highly correlated signals which are encountered in HF band. For this reason, in literature spatial smoothing is suggested to overcome this difficulty. Using this procedure, it is verified that the arrival angles could be founded for coherent or highly correlated signals for HF signals. MATLAB programming environment has been used in simulations and the system performance is evaluated.
