Abstract :
A method for synthesising an array antenna in order to obtain its maximum directivity, when the antenna is in the presence of perfectly electric conducting (PEG) bodies, is presented. The proposed solution is based on the generalised multipole technique (GMT) combined with an optimum directivity (OD) technique. A closed form formulation is presented together with results which demonstrate the scanning capabilities of the proposed method
