Abstract
Engineering design problems are generally multiobjective in that they require several, generally conflicting requirements to be met. One approach to solving a multiobjective design problem is to formulate the problem as a set of algebraic inequalities that must be satisfied for a successful design. Based on simulated annealing, two algorithms to solve a set of inequalities are proposed. The performance of the algorithms is tested on several control system design problems
