  • Abstract
    Optical fiber communications continued to advance at a rapid pace in 2010. This paper presents a brief overview of the most exciting technological advances of 2010, eking out record capacity out of optical fiber through enhancing spectral efficiency and shrinking power consumption using modern optical fiber communication system designs.
