Abstract
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a technique which uses intense pulsed magnetic fields to produce therapeutic effects in the brain involves the application of time-pulsed magnetic fields to cortical tissue. This technique is used today to treat neurological disorders such as depression. It is also used to measure the connection between the primary motor cortex and a muscle, to evaluate damage from spinal cord injuries. Furthermore, these systems are also being investigated for treatment of a broad range of other neurological problems such as stroke, Parkinsons disease, and schizophrenia.
