Abstract
In mid-February, the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Magazine was evaluated by the IEEE. The magazine is reviewed every five years, and the review involves researching and writing a report about the magazine and meeting with the group that evaluates the society\´s publications. It is also a time for those of us who work on the magazine to reflect upon the state of the magazine. As part of our effort to evaluate where the magazine stands and where it should be going, we asked the IEEE to survey our readership. The survey took place during late December 2011 and early January 2012. The IEEE Strategic Research group ran the survey and prepared a report for the society. The society is currently "digesting" this report, and it seems appropriate to share some of the highlights with you, our readership.
