Abstract :
An efficient method to generate exactly WMC-distributed random numbers on a digital computer is presented. The generation is based on the acceptance-rejection method. The WMC distribution is used to model the statistical behavior of avalanche photodiodes (APD), for example, in the simulation of optical transmission
