Abstract :
Describes how ICL uses configuration management software not only to manage its systems development and implementation, but also to keep control of its own key intellectual property. It uses PVCS Dimensions, a process-based configuration-management package from Merant, of St Albans, a leader in enterprise application development. The system helps organisations to manage the application-development process, adjust their enterprise applications for the technology and business demands of e-business, and provides integrated data connectivity across the enterprise, from the mainframe to the Internet
