Abstract
The use of radar in the 1939¿45 War was quickly followed by the development of methods of ¿jamming¿ radar equipments in order to reduce their operational value. Specimen photographs are shown in the paper of the appearances of various types of jamming signal on radar displays. Investigations of the effects of jamming led to the establishment of design practices which resulted in appreciable reduction of the general vulnerability of equipments to jamming; details are given of these practices, and also of a number of naval anti-jamming circuits developed for dealing with specific types of jamming.
