Hard-valve pulse modulators for experimental use in the laboratory

Although this report is concerned with hard-valve pulse modulator developments, the introduction sketches the general nature of modulation circuits, and technique, and the particular limitations which arise. A comprehensive discussion of hard-valve modulator circuits is then given, to enable the merits of the two sets described to be assessed for any application, in relation to other possible modulator circuits. A hard-valve modulator has the great merit of flexibility.
