  • Abstract
Over the past decade, the quantities and types of unmanned systems (US) have grown immersely and they become to augment substitute the manned systems. Also, the Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems have a vital responsibility to sustain an efficient and safe air space usage of manned and US together. However, in literature suggested ATC systems for this integration is very limited. Moreover, need for the determination of the maximum number of Unmanned Air Vehiches (UAVs) that can be controlled by an operator is still an untouched research field. In this paper, we tailor the well known Fan-Out model. In our proposed model, we add the network delays caused by the mobility infrastructure of the Flying Adhoc Network (FANET) which is formed by the UAVs up in the sky. In addition, we analyze the effects of the velocities of the UAVs and the dimension of the operator controller zone to the maximum number of UAVs that a controller can operate.
