Abstract :
The shielding currents flowing inside (Bi,Pb)/sub 2/Sr/sub 2/Ca/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub y/ oxide superconducting plates are estimated by reverse calculation based on the results of magnetic shielding experiments. The relationship of the magnitude of the external field to the distribution and magnitude of the shielding current was derived. The critical current density of the shielding current agrees approximately with the results obtained by the susceptibility method, but is smaller than the results obtained by the four-probe electrical resistance method.
