            Abstract :
It is important to analyze the dynamic behavior of grounding systems of substations and power systems in order to study lightning protection. In this paper, the authors propose a novel method in which the dynamic behavior is analyzed based on the finite-difference time-domain (FD-TD) method and offer a comparison between experimental results of the dynamic behavior and analytical results.
