Abstract :
YBaCuO rings with an outer diameter of about 20 mm were prepared by the MTG method. The influence of cooling conditions and composition on the structure and critical current density of the rings was investigated. The interaction of the rings with frozen magnetic fluxes was examined using a specially designed device having a force measurement sensitivity of 10/sup -8/ N. The correlation between theoretical calculations and experimental data concerning the interaction of the rings is discussed.
