Abstract :
As of May 2010 and with 11,097 members, the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) is the fifth largest Society within the IEEE. The broad, diversified, and loyal membership base is the most valuable asset MTT-S has. Arguably, membership is the most important figure of merit for evaluating the strength of any Society. Therefore, this topic deserves investing a few pages to discuss what MTT-S membership means to all of us.
