Abstract :
The theory of spin wave instability for magnetic insulators is extended to include generalized anisotropy, ellipsoidal shape, and a microwave pumping field with a general polarization for both first and second order processes. Representative results are given for the instability threshold microwave field amplitude vs. static field and the corresponding critical modes for a Zn-Y hexagonal ferrite thin disk
