Abstract :
This paper deals with an electromagnetic device optimization for a new de-stacking process of aluminum sheets. In a first step, we present the principle for generation of the adequate field strength by an electromagnetic separator device. In a second step, we use a simple and efficient method to calculate the three-dimensional (3D) electromagnetic field and we propose a pattern of current density distribution in an aluminum sheet. Finally, this modeling process leads to the calculation of the de-stacking strength and in so doing to the optimum design for an electromagnetic separator device
