Abstract
The authors state that in the above paper (Tanaka et al., 1996), the derived stability analysis cannot guarantee the norm requirement for necessity and the selection of the G matrix can affect the stability analysis. Therefore, the derived stability analysis cannot avoid conservative results. They illustrate this fact using a simple example and propose a modified stability theorem.
