Abstract :
A unified approach for comparing the performance of fuzzy and nonfuzzy controller designs is presented. Relationships are established between the gain parameters for the two classes of controller designs. The methods presented apply equally well to proportional-plus-integral, linear multiband, and multilevel relay controllers.
