Abstract :
The cover displays images that show the L-band microwave radar backscatter and brightness temperatures of sea surfaces acquired by the JPL Passive/Active L-band Sensor have sensible response to surface wind speed and direction. The change of brightness temperatures also shows strong correlation with the radar backscatter for various polarization combinations.
