Wealth and skill

This article presents an engineer´s view of the historical and current situation in wealth generation and its interdependence on skill, training and education. It also gives an analysis and identification of problems, with some suggested solutions. Unless these matters are given serious attention by engineers persuading the Government, industry and the community to take action, serious decline threatens the UK.
