Abstract :
Presents a brief review of the modern conception of compensation of stable ion beams. The methods of the compensation are described, and qualitative estimations of achievable compensation degree are also given for three various cases: 1) stationary beam of high enough energy, 2) stationary beam of low energy, and 3) pulsed beams of both high and low energy
