            Abstract : 
A new packaging technique for compensating temperature dependence of fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) based on the use of liquid crystalline polymer tubes is proposed, and a temperature dependence of the Bragg wavelength as little as 0.13 nm/100°C is demonstrated. The technique is simple and potentially applicable to long FBGs
