Abstract :
The effects of adding cooling fins to an auto-expansion SF6 circuit-breaker chamber are investigated. It is found that they reduce considerably the post-recovery current. An indirect effect of the reduction in dissipated energy on arc voltage further increases the usefulness of the fins
