Abstract :
The radiation admittance of arbitrarily shaped symmetrical patch antennas is investigated. A quasi TEM two coupled transmission lines is used to determine the conduction and polarisation current distributions and the radiation patterns of arbitrary-shape symmetrical patches coupled with a director and acting in a large bandwidth. In the particular case of the circular shape, the theoretical results are in good agreement with the experiments.
